1940's Rhinestone Brass Celluloid Necklace Earrings

Hi,

I have this necklace and earrings. I believe it is from the 40's.
On the clasp is Pat Pend. On the other side is a mark....Ad_in..I can' make out the third letter. It looks like it could be an s,e or f...but not sure. I have searched and searched for the maker to no avail.
Can you help?
