ring
by: steve

Hi there,
The manufacturer may be a company called Albion Craft. They registered with the london assay office in the 60s but ceased trading in 1995, which is why you may have had difficulty in tracing them.
Their makers mark was AC co within a cut cornered rectangle which looks like the mark on the ring.
hope this helps?

Better pics of hallmarks
by: Wendy

Hi, thanks for your reply. Here are links to clearer photos of the hallmarks:

I hope this is helpful. The maker of this ring is becoming quite a mystery, seems nobody's heard of an Albion jeweller that isn't the Chicago one!

Cheers, Wendy

ALBION on Jewelry
by: Anonymous

Hi Wendy - thanks for writing in...

ALBION - We have ALBION JEWELERS on Jewelry, however it's a US mark, Chicago, Ill., USA - ca 1950s

It would be great to see a clear image of the other hallmarks.

The Uncrowned Leopard Head has been the LONDON Town mark from - ca 1822 - Present. You mentioned a shield.

Regards
Yvonne
