Gold band w/ 3 crowns inside
by: Gale Jones

I too have a gold band w/ 3 crowns inside, that I inherited. My great grandparents were from Czech background. Could this have come from there? Thank you.

Hi Gale

yes it could be the country mark of Sweden. The important thing to keep in mind is the position of the crowns. Two crowns on top of one crown is the country mark for SWEDEN.

Crown Mark on Gold Jewelry
by: Anonymous

Hi Peggy thank you for writing in with the following hallmark question:

"I found an old gold wedding band and inside there are 3 crowns and I wondered what that means?"

Two crowns on top of one crown is the country mark for SWEDEN.
