Trying to find a similar charm to this one
by: Anonymous

I'm trying to find a similar charm to this one as my mother lost her necklace that was very dear to her. I have a picture and I am trying desperately to identify something that can tell me where it's from ... however I can't seem to upload a photo...

Avoniere ring
by: Anonymous

I have a ring with the C in and Circle and it's says "Avoniere" after it, I think. It's hard to read but I believe that's what it says. Can anyone help identify it? I can't find anything about it, whether it's a brand or not.

What is the C inside a circle?
by: Anonymous

I have earrings with the 585 stamp and the C in a circle. Can you tell me what the C inside a circle stands for.
thank You

Hi there, thank you for writing in...

C in a circle could simply be the stamp for "copyright" or it could be the sponsor's mark. We need to see an image of the mark.

The number "585" is the gold purity mark. 585 is the millesimal value and simply means "585" parts per 1000 - your earrings are comprised of 14K gold. This standard mark is commonly seen on Asian jewelry for the overseas market. It is also common in the USA. Russia are close, they have a "584" designation.

Photo Request & Compulsory Marks
by: Pete

Hi Siri could you please upload, in a follow-up submission, a photo of the mark. It may not necessarily be the maker's mark. Impossible to tell without a photo. We need to see the mark. Try and get as close-up and in-focus as possible please.
Compulsory marks on metals and be found here.

regards Pete
