Anchor K

by clifford
(nh)

I have a ring with an indented hallmark which amounts to a picture of an anchor and the letter K. I have seen these before but I can never get them straight. If I remember correctly there is also a star with a K, the third mark escapes me.
They are not the standard British hallmarks (anchor indicating Birmingham). I believe they have a direct correlation to 10k, 14k and 18k.
An acid test is inconclusive, I think it is 10k, but it could be a weak 14k.

thank you
