Antique Earring
purchased this wonderful antique turquoise and brass earring measuring 6 inches from end to end. I'd like to know if you have ever seen one like this and how I would go about selling it for what it is worth! It appears that this could be a museum piece. Thank you

i have a ring that is silver with a blue stone that is a family piece of 3 grandmothers who were all german. It bears the name pirol and the numbers are too worn to make out. if the stone was diamond i would say it was about 3.5 carats in size and it is a light blue ocean colour.... any ideas?

Fossil Pearl
by Rhonda Patterson
(Holiday, Florida)
Collage of Pearl with Ruler
I have a large fossil pearl (weight is 3 grams, size is roughly 18mm +/- x 15mm +/-) that I found in my yard - we use seashells extensively in our landscape for mulch - and this pearl was in the shells.
I routinely find fossils of all sorts in the shell - from bone fragments to shark's teeth to coprolite (dino poo). The lady across the street has been a fossil hunter for decades and she agrees that this is indeed a fossil pearl. The area that these fossils come from is approximately 1.2 million years old.
I would like to know if the outer coating that is chipped can be removed without further damage to the pearl, or should it be left alone? It is rather brittle, but the underlying portion seems to be quite solid. I would like to find out the value of it also, if you have any idea about fossil pearls. Any help or information you can give me would be appreciated.
