Antique Gold ring Marks

I have an antique gold ring with a 2x3 cm stone in it. (I believe to be smoky quartz) which is marked inside the ring with the standard 14k and on the other side of the band, AJ in plain standard font. The J is not crossed and both letters are capitalized. It has a high bridge holding the stone as well. Since it was owned by my Great-Great Aunt and I just received it I am trying to find out more about it! Thank you!
