Duke of Westminister's Signet Ring - Who Knows?
by: Anonymous

I'm not certain that the rings belonged to the Duke of Westminister, but there are intriguing clues.

The ring has warrier heraldic symbols on the shield, which may allude to his service as a high officer. Also, it has the garb of wheat on blue (horizontal stripes) which is correct for the Grosvenor family.

And the motto is similar but not identical to that of the Grosvenor family (Dukes of Westminister). But, most intriguing is the fact that the ring is french and that the 5th Duke of Westminister also served in france. So, there are clues but not proof.

Duke of Westminster's French Ring
by: Tony

Sealman how interesting - but how do we know that the ring belonged to a Duke of Westminster who had an affair in France with Coco Chanel?
