Triangle Marks
by: Anonymous

From 1904 until 1998, the following symbols were used in addition to the appropriate British Hallmark to indicate that an item was of foreign manufacture.

Not Wal Mart
by: Anonymous

The last poster was correct in that they are Birmingham hallmarks. The 375 is the gold content also known as 9 carat (9ct) gold.

* 24 carat (millesimal fineness 999)"PURE GOLD"
* 22 carat (millesimal fineness 916)
* 20 carat (millesimal fineness 833)
* 18 carat (millesimal fineness 750)
* 15 carat (millesimal fineness 625)
* 14 carat (millesimal fineness 585)
* 10 carat (millesimal fineness 417)
* 9 carat (millesimal fineness 375)
* 8 carat (millesimal fineness 333)

Often English, European, and other Countries will hallmark with the "fineness" such as 750 for 18k or 417 for 10k

Birmingham Gold Bracelet
by: Yvonne

Hi Stephen - Yes. I agree, you do have a very nice gold bracelet.

OK. From my research, the country purity marks, will be the triangle mark, followed by numeric standard mark, which in this case is - 375:

UK - BIRMINGHAM on all ct grades except 24ct GOLD on LOCAL & IMPORTED WARES - ca 1998
WITH the numeric standard mark, date letter and sponsor's mark.

The date letter looks like the Birmingham date letter for 1969.
The link is unusual as you say , not manufactured, it looks similar to sponsor's mark:

ARTHUR CREIGHTON (mostly Jewelry & Silverwork, Morecambe College of Arts & Crafts, UK) - ca 1950s - 1960s
