Art Nouveau period
18KT yellow gold and platinum, antique diamond engagement ring. Although the ring is mainly yellow gold, the diamonds are set in platinum in keeping with the period. Many famous celebrities and English Monarchs love wearing antique diamond engagement rings. The
The Duchess of Cornwall
wears a royal heirloom, antique diamond ring. In the 19th century some platinum antique engagement rings were set with
Natural pearls.
The birthstone for April is diamonds and so I chose this particular Art Nouveau ring to feature this month as it contains three old mine brilliant cut diamonds that are sparkling with personality and have a total estimated weight of approx. 1.00 crt. Hallmarks: French origin. We are certain of the origin of this antique diamond ring because of the control mark for 18KT gold representing an eagle's head (that was in use in France from about 1838). Weight : 5.80 grams Ring size Continental: 51 & 16¼ , Size US 5½ , Size UK: K½ Resizing: It is our pleasure to resize the ring for you (if needed) at our expense. Only in the case of extreme resizing would we have to charge. Condition is excellent.
