I have a bracelet which is gold coloured hexagons joined by what looks like 5 diamond links. It is not magnetic. It has no hallmarks but has A&E in a lozenge shape and a capital E in a square. Could it be genuine?

I've found a brooch pin given to me by a friend over 10 years ago! It has A&S in a little rectangle on the back. It's a gold hat with red and blue ribbon with clear stones around the rim of the hat. Could this be real gold? Done some home tests except acid all good so far. Thank you

Hi there, doesn't sound like a gold mark, most likely the maker's mark.
There are so many variations of initial marks on jewelry, the style of font, script for example, do the letters appear in a lozenge or rectangle shape? How old is the gold chain? Are there any other jewelry marks you can see?
If you want to determine the gold content, unless you invest buy and sell on a regular basis, (in which case it would be worth your while to purchase gold testing equipment) your local jeweler can acid test the metal for you.
