Two Boars
by: Anonymous

Hi
I have exactly the same object but with 1 not 2!?
The rest the same. The pig mark is almost the same with the mark used for the city of Schveidnitz ( Germany ) Swidnica now in Poland but I don't think it is it.
Greetings
Mircea

Photo of Chalice

Hi Ken

is it possible to upload an image of the chalice itself? It will help the researcher.

It's sterling over pewter
by: Ken Moore

after a much closer look I found a spot where the sterling had a tear. Filing did not show the separation of metal and pewter does not turn green with acid test. But, the silver is very thick, like rolled gold used to be done, this is much heavier. The question now is the date and still who used a boar?
