I also have a ring that has the same mark on it. It was my grandmother's, probably from 1930s or 40s. It has a thin white gold band and three small diamonds. On the inside is 14k AJ. That's all the info I have. I'd also be interested if you find anything.

What a nice ring you have there! It may be worth having the missing ruby replaced as it's quite beautiful. It's difficult to determine what the "AJ" marking on your ring stands for, AJ is a common marking used by Alberto Juan and also Arne J. The best thing to do is search google images for the search term and look for similar designs. Hope this helps!
