collar pearl necklace 14k flower diamond clasp

I bought this collar pearl necklace w/ 14k white gold flower diamond clasp at an antique shop. I know nothing about it, the maker, type of pearls or age. The pearls are about 7mm - 8mm and appear to be in good condition. I have read about pearls and grading online but am unsure of the type of pearls. I wonder if anyone can identify my necklace. I saw one on ebay about 1 year ago - a jeweler was selling on the diamond clasp. He said that the pearls were superior to Mikimotos (spelling?). I would like to learn more.
