Condition, Condition, Condition! Condition means everything in the world of both Natural pearls and Cultured pearls.
Considering the pearls are in the original leather case, I'm assuming these cultured pearls are in Good Condition. The clasp also plays a part in the overall value. If you can describe it - and you can provide images of the necklace, I think it's money well spent getting a valuation by the experts done.
