December Jewel of the Month 2008

SOLD

French Georgian Earrings

December Jewel of the Month comes to us from the Georgian era.....

... a divine pair of French 18 kt gold Georgian sapphire earrings, certain to attract admiring glances.

Antique jewelry dealers know that fine antique earrings are the ultimate prize. Hardest to obtain and most sought after, they did not survive as often as other forms of jewelry.

Loss, breakage and the passage of time all contribute to their downfall. Earrings from the Georgian era are even more unattainable and here for your consideration is a gorgeous pair in fine condition! circa. Napoleon III, 1850-1880s.

From the list of gemstones, these delightful French antique 18k yellow gold ear clips, contain white sapphires. Purchased in France, the ear clips measure approximately 2/3 inch in length. The stones are old european cut. The ear clips have the French hallmark for 18K gold.

These natural stones have the look and sparkle of diamonds.

They have hinged backs and front closures. There is a delicate gold droplet, for a final touch of elegance, just at the top of each earring. These earrings are just so wearable today! Nothing says quality like antique gold, finely worked! An investment worthy addition to add to your collection.
