Old gold gemstone ring, hallmark on outside? by: Anonymous
I have acquired a ring , it is I think gold, the hallmark is worn but it's visible slightly, the hallmark is on the outside of the back. It's gemstone is a purple blue pink red sometimes lilac. It's a large oblong shape cut, the setting is claws, one claw has broken and the stone moves slightly. I absolutely love the ring although it's bigger and gaudier than I normally like, I just love it. I want to get it cleaned and repaired but if it isn't real I'll just keep it as it is. And help would be appreciated.
