Great-Grandmothers Engagement Ring

I have recently been given my great-grandmothers engagement ring. They were married in 1910. The ring is a gold ring with a marquis Ruby and tiny white pearls surrounding the Ruby. The markings on the inside (I can see no carat marking) are only letters. Three capital W's. The center W appears to be inside a square. I am thinking that it may have been made in Europe as my great-great-grandfather came from Germany. I can send a picture if necessary, I just need to take one but not sure I will be able to capture the hallmark.
