Hallmark in Gold Folding Spectacles

Hello,

I am trying to identify the hallmark on a pair of folding gold spectacles. The two lens fold one on top of the other and one is connected to a gold stem that is about 4" long that has a circular loop on the end. The hallmark is on the circular loop and it is very tiny. It appears to be comprised of two letters and the symbol of a "candlestick."

There is an "S" on the left, the "candlestick" symbol in the center and an "L" on the right. There is no other marking indicating gold content. Any help in identifing the maker and whether this piece may be plated or "solid" gold would be appreciated.
