Help 24mm South Sea Pearl

We have a client that wants us to sell his Pearl for him, he purchased it 34 yrs ago and has been in a safe in a Bank in San Diego USA ever since, it is 24mm perfect round with a pink and blue shine to it. Who, what or where should i go for help with this or is it even worth the hassle?
