Gold Hallmark Question
by: Anonymous

Hi Kevin

thank you for writing in with the following hallmark question:

"Currently trying to identify some information about a 9 carat gold ring, hallmarks are as per the attached image, the assay office appears to be a panther for London, however the date stamp (T) doesn't appear to match any stamps found so far, as its a very straightforward capital T.

Likewise the makers mark AC Co doesn't really pull up many results other than the one a few threads ago..."

These marks look surprising crisp for an antique ring, almost too good to be true. The date letter and the maker's mark do not quite match with my list of maker's or the date letter with ANY in the London date letter chart.
This ring could have been a replacement ring.

best wishes,
Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
