Hi, I bought a pair of pearl earrings at an auction. They sold them as Mikimoto. Are they real Mikimoto?

by Lorraine
(Phila, PA)

They are marked 14KT and have a lower case m within a circle hallmark. I need some help to try to identify my pearls as Mikimoto or not.

ANSWER:
Hi Lorraine,
a visitor had a similar question about hallmark identification on a strand of cultured pearls. Is it a circle around the M or a clam shell around the M? You can read the question and see the Mikimoto hallmark here.

best regards
