Victorian Black Cameo
by: Alexander Stromberg

Hello there,

This cameo appears to be from Victorian period mid to late 1800's. It's moulded piece made of man made material and used widely to recreate onyx or black enamel look for Victorian mourning jewelry.

Nice peace of history. As far as a value it depends on what material is the frame. Gold frame will increase the value. (Obviously:-)

Yes it is a necklace, would you possibly know if it's glass or onyx? And what it's worth possibly?

Cameo Necklace?
by: SUZANNA

Mary, what a striking Cameo and the patina of age we can just make-out on the surround indicates it is an antique cameo. Did you say it was a Necklace?
Regards Suzanna
