I A Stamp on Blue Sapphire and Diamond 14K White Gold Ring

I purchased a 14KT white gold, blue sapphire and diamond ring from an antique dealer approximately 2 years ago. The mark on the band is: I A followed by what looks like a stamped circle. It is very difficult to determine the overall design of the circle area. It reminds me of the wings of mercury because of the 2 upturned lines that follow the stamped circle.

I am trying to find out what company or person made this ring. The sapphire has an unusual cut; it has a rounded top with rows of square cuts.
