If you look at the photo in the center of the stamp you can make out the ears standing up, the muzzle of the dog facing left, etc. It doesn't seem to hold at platinum.

OK. I can't see a Dog but maybe I'm missing something from this side of the screen. However I can confirm that a dog facing right was used on PLATINUM pieces made in France since 1912.
