Cristal de Roche
by: Yvonne

Rock crystal is distinguished from glass and rhinestone costume jewelry by its greater hardness on the Mohs Scale, coldness and double refraction. It was often used, especially after the 1920s to simulate diamonds. The Germans used the term, "Bergeristal" and the French is "cristal de roche".

In order to research the maker's mark and the other marks that accompany them, we kindly request a photo of the marks. You can upload a photo in a follow-up submission.

Meantime, if you are in a hurry and looking for a quicker answer please do not hesitate to contact WIW2U. Actually their service has a 100% positive feedback from our visitors. You need to register first.

best regards
