Indian (not sure what tribe if any) squash blossom necklace made of silver and turquoise. I just want to know if its really what it seems to be.

The necklace is very heavy and has the words Hazel and what appears to be 1927 on it. I don't see any sterling silver hallmarks, but I'm almost certain it is silver. I just don't know if its silver plated...any help would be greatly appreciated! I've polished the silver a bit and it looks much nicer but i didnt want to go overboard because I like the old look it gives it.
