Magnet does not always work
by: Anonymous

Just because a magnet does not stick does not mean gold could be brass - A magnet will not stick to that either

White gold ring
by: Anonymous

I have a white gold ring stamped KOREA with 4round diamonds and 2 side baguettes. It doesn't tarnish and the setting is very good so I don't think it's sterling silver. Did they make anything like this?

I've researched site after site. Now I am more curious but at first wanted to know how much I should sell it for. It is gold tone, new, blue cz looking stones. Is all Korea jewelry costume fake?

Korean Jewelry real gold or not
by: Anonymous

when you buy jewelry at alliexpress or at alibaba, you will see a bunch of Korean 14k gold. designs are beautiful and really a catch eye product. it says on their add as "korean14k gold. "necklace, earrings, rings, bracelets or bangles are all tags as 14k gold. here's the confusing thing. any of these jewelries, Korean 14 k gold doesn't have a stamp of the 14 k gold. does it mean, Korean gold is not really gold.? why does Korean gold not have a stamp ont it?

Korea c7 "/diamond?" ring
by: Bonnie Vee

I have a ring which was gold-plated but now showing wear, 4 stones across a band ring in increasing incremental sizes, stones seem to change color with light. Marked only "KOREA c7." What does that mark mean? Is it possible to have genuine diamonds in a cheaper setting, possibly for export (and taxation)? Any info would be great.

Genuine Diamond in "Korea" Ring
by: Anonymous

the only way to know for certain if the diamond is genuine or not in ring marked KOREA is to get the stone tested. You can do this yourself with a diamond tester. If it's moissanite you can see doubling of the back facets. if it's been passed down from your Mom, it's been around awhile and you should be able to see for yourself with the help of a hand lens any signs of gold plating.

Anna's Korea Necklace
by: Anna

I also have jewelry stamped KOREA. it is a rhinestone chandelier necklace made from delicate little crystal rhinestones. All of the prong-set stones are clear and brilliant. it dates from the late 1930's to early 1940's. The metal content is also not marked.

I hope this helps.

Anna
