Japanese Cultured Pearl Necklace from 1945

I have 2 pearl necklaces that my father-in-law sent back from Japan. He was stationed there from Nov 1945 to Sept 1946.

From what I have found on the Internet they were called 3.5 momme "graduation" necklaces, and were sold through the Army Exchange Service to the Occupation Forces.

Can you tell me what the value of these necklaces may be? I am going to have them restrung no matter what the value but knowing may help me decide where to have it done.
