Korean Marking

by Kristalynn
(Salt Lake City, UT)

What is the item?
Gold ring with what looks like a diamond.

Can you please provide all background information?
Was in an antique jewelry box my grandmother gave me. This box was hers from the time she got married in 1949 until she gave it to me in 2000. My grandfather did serve in the Korean war.

What are the markings?
There is what looks to me as KOREAI and another stamp in front of that I cant make out, but almost looks like a fish.

Where are the markings?
These markings are on the inside of the band, if the stone is positioned to the right they appear just like you would read a book. ( Left to right, right side up)
