Getting the Pearl Appraised
by: Anonymous

Hi Sherri

YES, unhook the pearls to measure the length of each strand. You might also like to measure the diameter of the pearls, also ascertain if the pearls are uniform in size or graduating.

You can start the Expert Appraisal process on Antique Jewelry Investor. It is not a free service.

The Appraisal Form can be found HERE

Photos can be sent directly to me:

harrisrebecca@me.com

after completing form and making payment.

Kind Regards

I am Sherri, the one with the Majorica Pearls. Is there anyway to upload photos on here? I took some photos of the Majorica Pearls. There is some kind of Mark on the clasp on the pearls. I have the original red box & paperwork inside. Looks like they were never even worn. when you measure the pearls, do you unhook them? I know nothing about Pearls.

Hi

are the three strands all Majorica Pearls? Majorica are one of the best names in Simulated Pearls. Simulated Pearls are meant to resemble NATURAL PEARLS.

Sherri, is there a maker mark on the actual clasp? How long are the strands? What size are the pearls? Are they graduating in size? Information on Majorica pearls can be found HERE

If you have the original box, this will increase the value. The Condition of the Pearls is important, but if they have been well cared for, and having been kept in their original box, this will also help to increase the value.
