Markings On Ring with Diamond-Like Stones

by Liv

Hi,
This is probably a really silly Question, but I have been googling and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

I inherited a ring from my mother and would like to know a bit more about it. The ring has a very thin band varying from about 0.5-1.5mm wide and the setting is a flower shape of diamond like stones (but the bigger one in the middle has something in it so I doubt its actually diamond) there are 8 smaller stones around the outside of the larger one.

The inside of the ring has been worn away somewhat, but I can make out WG&S clearly then what looks like 18GT FLA before it is too worn to see. I was wondering if you could tell me what these markings mean?

Regards,
Liv
