Mikimoto Cultured Pearls

I have recently inherited a 4 strand Mikimoto pearl neclace. I dont know much about pearls or their value. I was interested in finding out how old they are and what they may be worth today. They are graduated cultured pearls. They are in the original casing, but not box. The inside liner of the casing says, "Mikimoto Cultured Pearls Lane Crawford Hong kong". Any answers for me? Thanks in advance...
