Clusters of Mikimoto Pearls Pendant
by: Anonymous

Hi Cindy thanks for writing in. Your Mikimoto Clusters of Pearls Pendant sounds beautiful. You mention, the "pearl grapes" are surrounded by silver leaves, I personally prefer white metal with Pearls, I feel it adds to the mystery & allure of white pearls.

Natural Pearls are not the same as Cultured Pearls. Natural Pearls are comprised completely of Nacre, formed without any human intervention and "geographically natural" too, meaning the pearls have not come from a pearl farm. Any pearl stemming from a pearl cultivation farm is a cultured pearl. The Swiss Gemological Institute considers that pearl farming constitutes a human intervention.

You can read about Mikimoto Cultured Pearls Here.

The weight of the Pendant will be a significant factor, the quality and condition of the pearls. If you have the original box this will also be big plus. And the Mimikoto signature which is a letter M in a clam shell.

You might like to have a jewelry valuation carried out by the experts. Prices and details can be found Here. Images of the Pearl Pendant, preferably 3 are necessary.

I thought you might like to see this lovely cluster of pearls Mikimoto Pin....

best wishes, Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
