Hello, While you have the history of the piece via family, the hallmarks tell a different story. These marks are Egyptian. Without a closer, clearer, straight on picture it is difficult to be accurate on what the purity, the mark on the left, may say 23k or 12k. A better shot would reveal the city of assay as well. The other mark is a date hallmark. The one in your image was used from 1959-1962. You will have to resolve the story on your end for this one!
