Miki Pearls

Apparently, there were quite a few companies that sold pearls under a name which started with M, had multi syllables and ended with -to, so as to capitalize on Mikimoto's popularity and quality.

M in a Shield- Oyster
by: Anonymous

Hi Edward, thank you for writing in.

Your wife's pendant sounds very beautiful and from your description, possibly - Mikimoto Pearls. The Mikimoto Pearl trademark is a M in an oyster shell shield. Once you are aware that the shield is in fact an oyster shell it becomes fairly easy to detect Mikimoto trademark.

Mikimoto pearls are Premier Cultured Pearls.

Here is a photo of the Mikimoto trademark for you to compare. Let us know your findings, Edward, if you have time.

best regards,
