Expert Opinion Service
by: Anonymous

Good Morning Jeff!

to research this mark could take literally hours, if not days. There are so many maker's marks, with the letter C and Crosses of all descriptions are quite common.

We have a separate expert opinion service Jeff. It's not a free service, it costs $ 9.70 for an opinion, but you will receive an answer to your question in a timely manner. Should you wish to use this service, and put your question to the expert, the Expert Opinion Form Can be Found HERE

it would be helpful if you mention on the form, the additional details also, you provided in your recent post, concerning the surround (the background shape) behind the marks on the band, and also what method was used to test the metal.

Best Wishes,
Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre

Hi
by: Jeff

Hi Rebecca

It is a very plain ring, typical wedding ring style.

I am unsure what metal it is. It is hallmarked, and is gold in colour, but apparently tested negative for gold.

It's very hard to tell what shape box the hallmarks are in... it looks a bit like a square and a circle.. so perhaps a square with rounded corners?

Sorry that's vague, but it's the best I can offer.

More Information Requested

Hi Jeff

are the symbols and letters in any kind of impression? i.e round, square shape etc. Is it a plain Antique Wedding Ring? Do you know what metal the ring is made from?

Regards
Rebecca
