U with an arrow going through it | Old Ring
by: Anonymous

Hi Susan - what a lovely antique ring!
I say "antique" because if the ring is from UNCAS, it dates to 1920s and that, is pretty close to the technically correct term for "anique".

Nothing is definitive however without a photo or better yet actually seeing the mark in person....

however the the letter "U" with an arrow going through it, (the arrow has no feathers but a v at the opposite end of the arrow point) is the jewelry hallmarks for - UNCAS MANUFACTURING JEWELLERS, PROVIDENCE, RI, USA, ca. 1920s - present.

The white stone, is most likely porcelain embellished with hand painting, or transfer with hand-painted augmentation. You will need a jewellers loupe and some experience to differentiate between the two.

best wishes,

Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
