Old silver ring and brooches

by Amanda
(Canada)

showing back of large brooch

My grandmother passed away a few months ago and left behind some older jewelry. Unfortunately, nobody in the family knows anything about the pieces. Among them is what looks like a matching set of large and small brooches/pins and a ring. They appear to be made of silver and it looks like the large brooch and the ring are marked with the numbers 825.

We would love to know if you can provide any ideas as to when and where they could have been made. So far, our Internet searches haven't turned up anything that looks like them, but we're not honestly sure where to begin looking. In case it helps, my grandmother was born in the Netherlands and moved to Canada after World War II. If you have any thoughts about these pieces, we'd be grateful.

Thanks,

Amanda
