Schiaparelli Brooch -Real or Fake?

I have a brooch....Signed
Schiaparellii on a rectanglar piece
of metal with a little mark under it....It is a a beautiful metal
sunflower or daisy with a pearl in
the middle....not realistic, of
course. I am trying to
determine if it is a fake...How
do I make a determination about
the mark....I know there were marks like that in later years....
