The elusive capital letter C with a shooting star to the right maker's mark found on mostly vintage men's 10K gold rings has been confirmed. It is Comet Ring Manufacturing Co. of Buffalo, New York. The trademark for this hallmark dates to 1962-1963, but was used as early as 1947. Look up US trademark serial number 72148797 and it will show you the exact same artwork found on your ring.

I do have a very special ring it's 10 karat yellow gold it looks to have maybe a clover or screw type of cross or spayed cross at Each corner of a beautiful round aquamarine maybe three and a half carat for carrot beautiful shooting star with a C. underneath 10 karat gold.

I have inherited a 10K white gold ring with a large aquamarine (?). The stamp inside is a capital C followed by a shooting star. I'd love to know the age of the ring and maker if possible. I can provide a photo of the mark of needed.

"Spain" shooting star PLUS 10K on white gold ring? by: Doug
I have a ring with the exact same marking as described in the last comment. Capital C followed by shooting star that looks exactly like the Spain 750 grade silver mark and on the other side of the band 10K. Testing shows this ring is at least 10K white gold - tests closer to 14K. Also has a large blue topaz or sapphire. So why would there be a Spain silver mark on a 10K white gold ring. Would be happy to post.
