Type of Cameo?

My grandmother gave me a Cameo ring that she got in 1939 from her aunt. The ring has a gold band, with no markings on the inside of the band. The cameo has a woman's face (facing to the right if the cameo is facing you) and has a deep brown stone behind it. It has two tines on each side of the stone that attach it to the band. I'm interested to know if anyone knows anything about this ring.
