value of 1897 rose gold diamond ring

by Jean Hamelin
(Lansing, Michigan)

Hi!

I have my great-grandmother's rose gold diamond ring, which she received as a gift from her parents in 1897 (for her 18th birthday). I don't have a picture of it, but the diamond is very small and has open cut work around it, giving the setting a flower appearance. There is scroll work on both sides of the setting, as well. I tried to take a picture, but the detail didn't come through well. As this is a family heirloom, I have no doubt as to the age and authenticity.
