Hi Terri thanks for writing in. An anchor symbol doesn't necessarily mean it's a British assay mark.
Could you confirm two things for me. 1.The date engraved on ring is 1900. 2. The metal the ring is made from, if you don't know let me know the color. It's hard to see whether it's silver or gold or plated from the photo.
