You might have to throw a sprat to catch a mackerel. We can only allocate a certain amount of time gratis per question. I've looked in a couple of reference books and found zilch.

JTC Jewelry by: JM
I also just bought a ring at an estate sale, some lady said she inhereted a lot of jewelry, while I was there a man took about 100 rings paid about $800 for them all and was still scavanging through tons of rings the lady had, most appeared to be antique.
My wife and I managed to get some that appeared to be gold, and I came across one that read JTC 14kt 969, and it was like a wedding band with a small wedding band that came apart from the middle of ring.
It had a larger stone in middle. I bought it from lady for $10, and I want to know if anyone has any info if it may be some antique wedding ring, or even gold at all. Thanks. JM

zales by: Anonymous
I've been finding several references online that JTC is an expired mark for Zales jewelers, that used to be placed on items sold in Zales and associated stores.

Hi
could you please attach three photos and send to the following email address: yvonnehammoudaATmacDOTcom
One photo should be the actual marks
The second that of the entire item, and
The third that of a larger area surrounding the mark
Any other information you may have already discovered and any other details that will help.
with Regards
Yvonne

I have a JTC ring too by: Anonymous
I have a gold engagement ring that I purchased from an antique store. It is 14K gold as per a stamp on the inside of the band. It also has JTC followed by a dot and 5 digit number; JTC 11044. It is all block style lettering. I am super curious to know what this stands for. The lady I bought it from belived it was from 1960s or 70s.

Hi Lisa thank you for writing in with the following hallmark question:
"My ring has the hallmark JTC with a number behind it. What does JTC stand for?"
Lisa, could you please provide more info. Do you know the metal composition? If not, what is the color of the metal? What style is the ring? Are there any stones in the ring? How old do you think it is? Where did you get from? Was it handed down to you ? Did you buy it recently from an auction? What is the name behind the letters? Are the letters JTC in script? Are you sure it is a J and not an I - easy to confuse. Can you upload a photo in a follow-up submission. Thank you
