Cameo Information and Cameo Pendant |Front & Reverse Photo of Cameo
by: Anonymous

Hi Lori thanks for writing in. Do you mean the lady depicted on the cameo is your grandmother or did the cameo belong to your grandmother? What are the dimensions? Could you send through a close up photo of the front and another of the reverse of the pendant. Are there any marks on the metal frame, it looks like silver, are there any silver hallmarks for instance or marks like "etchings" on the reverse of the cameo material itself?

Sometimes the cameo artist will etch his mark or a date which might be in roman numerals on the reverse of the material. You will have to examine carefully the cameo in good light with a jewelers loupe or magnifying glass.

best wishes,
Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
