WWII era Japanese crane and porcelain bracelet.

by Samantha
(Kentucky)

Sorry about the bad pic. This is the bracelet.

Sorry about the bad pic. This is the bracelet.

I was at a community yard sale about 10 years ago and purchased an old bracelet from an elderly man who had bought it for his wife sometime during WWII or thereafter, in Japan.

It is absolutely beautiful. It is made of silver and has long rectangular sections held together by long pins. Each section is a crane carved in white stone or something. The sections where the bracelet latches is made with a mesh looking material and has porcelain painted flowers on it.

None can tell me anything about this bracelet or what its worth might possibly be.
