Italy & Y in a Circle

I have a sliver necklace stamped 925 Italy & a "Y" in a circle opposite the sliver stamp. I can't find any info on the circled Y.

Y in a circle similiar to the mercedes logo is:

(b. 1879 -d. 1972) ARTS & CRAFTS Artisan & Desinger, used many materials, New York, NY, USA - ca 1910s - 1940s.
