Bell Attendance LG Balfour Charms
by: Anonymous

I just found some charms myself. They are both still in original packaging. One is a telephone box the other is a bell with cords that says 'bell system' and the both have 'Attendance Sterling' on the back along with the Balfour mark. How old are they? I've got a sense or how much they can sell for but I haven't been able to find out a date.

phone charm bracelet

Hi,
I have a gold toned phone charm bracelet that was given to my mom when my grandmother passed away. My grandmother worked for Pacific Bell and retired from the company. I do not know the value.

Telephone charm bracelet
by: Anonymous

Just to put your lovely antique charm bracelet into historical context - I thought you might like to know that on 7 March 1926, the first transatlantic telephone call, was made from London to New York.
Where abouts on the bracelet is it marked?

Young, Peter (1991). Person to person: the international impact of the telephone. Granta Editions. p. 285. ISBN 0-906782-62-7.
