I have a cameo brooch set in a gold (I assume) mount. The 'hallmark' on the gold surround looks like it has been added at a later date as it appears to be a separate piece of gold with the following markings:
Star with 50 next to it then either NA or MA then 378
I cannot send a 'photo of the markings as I can barely see them with a magnifying glass let alone take a 'photo of them!
Can you please help me with the identification of these marks? Approximate age?
Any information at all would be appreciated
